Go Pro Video Cameras
Skydive Hibaldstow are now selling GoPro video cameras at at the dropzone shop for £169.99. If you have never heard of GoPro before, this is a fantastic way to buy your first camera without all the extra expense.

What is so special?
For a start, its very rugged due to it having no moving parts. In addition, you receive 6 different mounts which allows you to quickly set up multiple camera angles on your helmet. The attachment bracket is articulated so that you can fine tune your setup. Perfect for your tracking dive or small freefly group.
As part of the package, you also get a chest mount, waterproof housing and a 0.2 wide angle lens giving a field of view of 170 degress. The field of view is so wide that even if you are doing a 4-way FS dive, you will get the entire formation in shot whilst actually docked on it.

A typical 4Gb SDHC card will take approximately 2 hours of footage before it is full. The card can then be downloaded directly by inserting it into a multicard reader attached to your computer. The GoPro takes 2 x AAA batteries.
The quality of the footage is very similar to normal non-HD cameras and perfectly usable in your movies. At any point the video stream can be halted and stills downloaded. Further, the camera can change into stills mode and higher quality 5MP shots taken.
