Events at Skydive Hibaldstow |
|
| |
Skydive Hibaldstow likes to think it is a dropzone for
everyone. It is our objective to cram in as many events
as possible over the jumping season. In addition, the
variety of events from coaching weekends in FS, to CF
events allow everyone to find something of interest.
If you have any ideas of skydiving events you would like
to see held at Hibaldstow, drop us an email at
info@skydiving.co.uk.

Jan 28th to 1st March
Dust off the Christmas
cobwebs and look forward to the next season. There'll be
some informal seminars to prompt discussion on formation
safety, free fly group safety, some suspended drills
competitions (when did you last practice your reserve
drills?), gear chat – check over your gear, both rigs
and helmets for wear and tear.
A bar promotion in the
evening and some games to make it fun. Hey if the
weathers good we'll even do some jumping! |

Sticker Festival, FS1 & FF1
progression |
|
| |
Apr 25th to 26th
We'll try to get as many
FS1 and FF1's done this weekend to hopefully get people
stickered up so they can do the nationals. For those of
you who don't know, the National championships are held
at Skydive Hibaldstow every year. This is a great
opportunity for teams to form who can learn together and
progress at the same speed according to their own time
and budget.

CF Coaching weekend with Pat
Hammond |
|
| |
May 1st to 4th
CF Coaching weekend with
Pat Hammond, Pat will be available Friday to do theory
on the ground and you'll then have the next 3 days to
jump through the basics and hopefully progress on to
CF1. Pat has been competing at National and
International level for many years and he has been a
great inspiration driving CF forwards.
Does flying your canopy
close to another scare you? Well it shouldn't. It can be
done safely and actually being able to speak to someone
whilst still in the air is an amazing experience. Slots
for this weekend are limited, so book soon.

Safe Flight School Basic Course with
Brian Vacher |
|
| |
May 29th to
31st
Brian Vacher has been
running the Safe Flight School for a few years now and
his experience is invaluable. Flying your canopy is not
just simply a means of getting to the ground, its more
than that. Its about navigating, not being cut up on
final approach by your friends, it's about getting the
most from the wing above your head. There is so much
that many of us do not know about our canopies and
Brian's course can teach you a lot.
Brian's course is aimed at
those who want to learn more how to fly their canopy
safely and incorporates some classroom based theory,
practical exercises to carried out on 10 hop & pop
jumps. Landings are filmed and debriefed so you can
learn from your own / others' experiences. A highly
recommended course. The course price is £350 which
includes all tuition, debriefing and 10 hop and pops.
Places are limited, please contact the office or DZ to
pay a £50 non refundable deposit to get a place.
The course is for 3 days
from a Friday to a Sunday, however it is also on a Bank
Holiday Monday, so there is plenty more time to practice
those new skills.
