Nationals 2007

Welcome to the National Championships in formation skydiving, artistics, CF and speed skydiving.

You will be able to find news and photos, lists of accommodation, entertainment, how to put a team together, opportunities for coaching, pre-Nationals training at Hibaldstow, aircraft line-up, food, competition rules, videographers corner, dope testing rules, interviews and much more.

Dates and Prices

General Information

	All booking in for teams is to be completed by 19:00 of the Friday before the competition start. The competitions brief commences at 20:00 and the Competition draw at 21:00. (Except 8-way speed, see below).
	Protest fees are £10 per round.
	For each additional team you enter in a Nationals weekend, there will be an extra £10 entry fee.
	The above tariff includes a BPA levy towards the British Team Fund of £5 per entry fee and £1 per person per jump.

Formation Skydiving - 4-way

	18th to 20th August (25th to 27th August reserve).
	£25 entry fee per person. £79 per team round. £84 per team round if you are not using own videographer.
	35 seconds working time - rookie, A, AA & AAA classes.
	The largest 4-way competition of any Nation compared to jumping population - 48 teams in 2006.

8-way formation skydiving - senior and intermediate

Formation Skydiving - 8-way

	25th to 27th August (1st to 3rd Sept reserve).
	£25 entry fee per person. £162 per team jump. £167 per team round if you are not using own videographer.
	50 seconds working time - senior and intermediate.

Artistic skydiving events - freefly, freestyle and skysurfing

Artistics - Freefly

	25th to 27th August (1st to 3rd Sept reserve).
	£25 entry fee per person. £54 per team round (A class is 7 rounds, or B class is 5 rounds).
	Rounds scored on artistic merit with 2 flyers and 1 cameraman; other rounds scored on compulsory rounds showing set technical moves.

Artistics - Freestyle

	25th to 27th August (1st to 3rd Sept reserve).
	£25 entry fee per person. £36 per team round (A class is 7 rounds, or B class is 5 rounds).
	Consisting of free and compulsory routines, points given for difficulty, execution, moves in different axis, accuracy of moves and synchronisation with the cameraman.

Artistics - Skysurfing

	25th to 27th August (1st to 3rd Sept reserve)
	£25 entry fee per person. £36 per team round (A class is 7 rounds, or B class is 5 rounds).
	A very skilled event based on the ability to move an aerodynamically unstable object with accuracy without wobbles and coordinated with the camera.

Speed Skydiving

	25th to 27th August (1st to 3rd Sept reserve).
	£25 entry fee per person. £18 per person per round (6 round event, of which the fastest 3 qualifying rounds are taken).
	Measured with L&B audible altimeters over the vertical Km from 8858ft to 5577ft.
	The best competitors can reach average speeds of over 300 mph.

Demonstration event - 4-way VRW

	18h to 20th August.
	A new discipline using many of the ideas of 4-way FS.
	An open demonstration event using rules from IPC.

8-way Speed

	22nd to 23rd September.
	£15 entry fee per person. £142 per team round from 7k or 9k.
	Build an 8-way formation as quick as possible with a no-show exit and no grips.
	The fastest teams can build in under 10 seconds and the scores cumulated over 6 rounds.
	Booking in by 08:00 on the 22nd September. Competition briefing 08:30.

Canopy Formation

	22nd to 24th September.
	4 Way Rotations, 4 Way Sequential, 2 Way Sequential, 8 Way Speed Formations, 4 Way Speed Stack / Plane.
	£15 entry fee, £16 per person per jump. All events are 6 rounds except the 2-way which is 5 rounds.

Team Training & Sports Massage

Many teams have chosen Target Skysports and Skydive Spain for their team training. In the weeks leading up to the weekends of the national championships, you can train full-time with the dropzone. This is the 3rd year that Gemma Fesemeyer will be offering Sports and Remedial Massage at the Nationals. She has specific experience in dealing with sports performance/injuries and supporting teams competing at a high level. This year she will also be at the dropzone the weekend 11th/12th August to support Teams Elan and Storm and will be available to work with any others who require treatment. New this year also will be Claire Newbold who is a Chartered Physiotherapist and regular skydiver at Hibaldstow.
