After a short Christmas break, the DZ opened it's doors for the spring - it might have been just in time as regulars queued to beat down the office door and manifest for jumps.  

Fridays saw the DZ open only for ground training, but a great turn out was had, with students and experienced jumpers alike dropping in to get refreshed and sorted out for the spring. 

A busy evening ensued as the shutters rose for the first beers of the year. Some lighthearted entertainment was had in the form of banana balancing but most were very happy to be back and have a good catch up. 

What a stunning opening day Saturday was. If it wern't for the frost on the ground youwould not be able to tell it was January with huge numbers of skydivers bustling away. Instructors worked hard to get students in the air and skydivers took advantage of the low winds and blue skies. 

After a particulary exhausting day the bar opened and though people were tired, they still managed to party hard - Trifle was eaten, yards of ale sunk and boat races were well... boated. 

One or two hangovers later, the DZ rewoke to Sunday and even more skydiving. You would be hard pushed to find anyone disapointed with this weekends progression and sheer vibe.
