Weekend 17th to 18th December

The final weekend of operations came to pass and with it the usual melancholy feelings.

Strangely it was a weekend with the more achievements than most - York University's very own Liam Goddard, having really committed to skydiving this season passed his last dummy pull jump Saturday and got a chance to do his first freefall - quite an impressive achievement having started in October. Liam passed his first freefall and freefalled again Sunday. Cat Lees, another York student managed to complete her 100th jump just in time for Christmas - It's been a great year for the University club.

Sunday slipped in and with it the end of the year - but it's been a great one - keep an eye on our facebook group and website for up and coming events as they arrive. The DZ opens for retrains as part of our Megarefreshers weekend on the 13th of January.

The dropzone would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a New Year. See you next season in 2012!
