The UK Nationals Are Approaching

Every year, we love hosting the UK National Championships of 4-way Formation Skydiving. In fact we’ve done it every year since 1996 (with the exception of just 1 year!). The competition spirit in the UK is strong with many teams working hard throughout the year team training and wind tunnelling. What makes it special is that we love seeing groups of different people from different backgrounds coming together, making friends and sharing the sky.

It takes good communication in freefall, learning how to control your body in 3 dimensions and anticipating what your teammates are going to do with each random or block that comes up. The competition always starts the night before when the competition brief is presented and the draw made to show the combination of formations the teams will being doing across the 4 different categories of increasing difficulty.

This year the competition runs from the 31st August until the 2nd September. We’re open 7 days a week right now, offering loads to either 10,500ft or 15,000ft depending on what you need. How Much Does It Cost?

Over the last few years, we have offered a cheaper early-bird competition registration fee and this year we’re also doing that. The normal price if £40, but if you register by the end of the 11th August, we’ll give you a great discount and drop it to £30. If you want to register additional alternate team mates, then the competition registration fee is normally £30, which will drop down to £25 if registered during the early-bird period. Here’s a summary:

Early-bird registration fee ends on the 11th August at 11:59pm and you must register your team no later than the end of the 27th August at 11:59pm.

Competition Jump Costs

• Each jumps costs £25 per person per round. Depending on which category you enter, that will be either 8 or 10 rounds.
• Camera pool. £10 extra per round. If you do not have a camera flyer, don’t worry, we can provide someone to help.

Coaching and Team Rates

Do you or your team need some coaching help? Well we can recommend some experienced top coaches to help you:

We also offer team rates depending on how many jumps you want to do (the more, the cheaper it gets). Please email rob@skydiving.co.uk and he’ll discuss what you want to do and when. There’s coaches, video debriefing facilities, team rooms, bunk room accommodation and a café on site for all your needs.

Raffle

This year, we will also be having a raffle where you can win some awesome skydiving gear prizes which have kindly been donated  by equipment manufacturers. And it’s all for a good cause – which is the support of one of our favourite charities, the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance.

Not Got a Team?

We also appreciate that there will be some of you who haven’t got a team this year, or not even considered getting a team together. But fear not, we help put teams together with like minded people – whether that is just turning up for Nationals with no training, or helping to organise a team camp for you.
