Countdown to the UK Skydiving Championships!

The countdown is on to the UK Skydiving Championships.

It’s Saturday here at Skydive Hibaldstow. We’re experiencing blue skies and the sky is a steady stream of planes going up and skydivers flying down. It’s one of those beautiful skydiving days where the props are turning all day long, jumpers are rushing about from mock ups to creepers to the cafe to the boarding area, every focused, happy and doing what they love to do. The kind of days that we love here at Skydive Hibaldstow.

We can feel the energy building as we see fresh teams and jumpers arrive for the final days of training for the largest skydiving championships here at Skydive Hibaldstow. The UK Skydiving Championships for 4 way and VFS take place 24-27th August and the 8-way, FS, Artistics and Speed Nationals will happen the following weekend, 1-3 September.

Skydive Hibaldstow first held the UK Nationals in 1993 and with the exception of 1 year, we’ve hosted them ever since in 4-way and Artistics. Over the years other events have come and gone (and returned again) like Vertical Formation Skydiving and Speed Skydiving.

For anyone who hasn’t joined the UK Skydiving Championships yet this year, we’re offering discounted individual entry fee! If you register by 17:00 the Tuesday before August’s competition starts, we will drop from £50 down to £35!

This week at Hib it’s going to be a busy week with teams training for the UK Skdydiving Championships  competition, so if you’re an experienced skydiver looking for a place to jump this week, we’ll be turning loads regularly. It’s a great time to come on down and skydiving in the blue skies before summer is over!
