Bigway skills camp!
Refresh your diving skills, come and learn big-way techniques from the beginning or just come to play for fun!
We will be flying three airplanes Saturday and Sunday – Friday with two planes.
The camp will include a mixture of experience levels, with everyone encouraged to try every type of slot from base, left and right trail aircraft. It is suitable for relative beginners, provided you have the basic skills to get out of an aircraft and dock on a 10-way. It is also a great place for big-way veterans to enjoy the fun of formation loads, share their knowledge and get a buzz from the excitement of the newbies. If you’re on the European Women’s Record 2018 –– or hoping to be – this is the perfect place to gain valuable experience or to come and strut your stuff in front of some of the selection team.
As far as possible, all jumps will be formation loads, unless the weather makes it only suitable for single aircraft. In this case, skydives will be creatively designed to still work on big-way skills. If the weather keeps us on the ground, seminars will be organized to make good use of the downtime.
There are 28 slots on Friday and 43 slots for Saturday and Sunday, and this is the only big-way camp with formation loads on offer in Europe this season so it will fill up fast!
Registration is £75 for the 3-day event, £60 for just Saturday and Sunday – less £10 for early registration. This includes all coaching, camera, event t-shirt, Hog roast (& veggie option) Saturday night along with entertainment. Plus a free drink on Friday night in the bar whilst we watch some World Record videos, with an open question-and-answer session.
Once you have been accepted on the camp, the DZ will email you a payment link for the registration fee to confirm your place.
Please bring ALL of your jumpsuits, weights and weight belts – for your use and to lend out to other campers. Everyone will get the chance to fly in slots their body size/shape would not normally be suitable for, then we need to use extreme fall rate tools.
