Welcome to the 4th installment of the 6-way Speed, FS & Accuracy meet. This has to be one of the most fun events we run at Hibaldstow and it’s a real combination of 3 different disciplines – speed, formation skydiving and accuracy. The meet is a 4 round event organised by Simon Brentford and all teams will be evenly distributed between the various teams.

How it Works

1. The Speed Star. All rounds begin with an old-school speed star. The first 2 rounds can have up to 4 floaters and 2 divers, but no grips taken. The last 2 rounds will be “no show, no grip” exits. I.e. everyone must be inside and the clock starts when the first body part emerges out of the door. Points are allocated on the fastest times and the no of teams. For example, if there are 4 teams, the fastest team will take 4 points and the slowest team will take 1 point. If the 6-way star isn’t built, then the team doesn’t score any points. There is no minimum time for the speed star to be held, but it must be stable and not just a passing grip.
2. FS. During the 4 rounds, you will be given a draw sheet showing you the formation you have to do. They’re designed to bring a flow and allow everyone to score lots of points! There is no specific working time here, all points will be counted up to the break-off altitude which will be either 5000ft or 5500ft depending on the general experience level when the exciting date of the comp arrives.
3. Accuracy. Last up, we have an accuracy meet which has been simplified. Out of every 6 people (plus 1 camera) jumping, we will score 1 point for every jumper who lands, standing up, inside a 10-meter ring. A maximum of 4 points may be scored which takes the pressure off some jumpers who really don’t want to do accuracy. They can then land further away without having to worry about traffic. If there are any dangerous approaches with involved jumpers, they will not score their points.
