This year we welcome a new coach and load organiser to the Hibaldstow team in the form of Andy Godwin. Some quick facts about him:
“I love competitions, I have been competing throughout most of my skydiving career, at local, National and World Level. Taking part in the BPA roadshows, coaching one to one freeflying for FF1 & FF2. In the last 2 years, I focused on working with new skydivers, in new teams using the experience I have gained to help the next wave of talented flyers. All of these things are very rewarding and I’ve made so many friends along the way.
Without a doubt it has been my coaches. Without coaching I was an ordinary skydiver. The coaching I’ve received has given me the ability and confidence to become better. I’ve learnt how to get the best out of my talents and improve in areas I found more challenging. I have also been in the unique position of being able to practice frequently and efficiently with rapid results. This gave me the stimulus and the ability to get into competition skydiving in a big way. I am living proof that you CAN teach an Old Dog New Tricks.”
Andy will be coaching at Hibaldstow throughout the year and is interested in specialising in 1 on 1 training. He is keen to work on individual technique improving your personal flying skills. If you are coming, please let Andy know through Facebook.
