Freefall Foundry

If you are reading this then you are on the first step to becoming a fully qualified skydiver and ultimately living a lifestyle, the envy of many.

The course is hosted by Skydive Hibaldstow, a world recognised and renowned Drop Zone (DZ) in the UK.  Skydive Hibaldstow is a full service Drop Zone catering for all aspects of skydiving up to an international level.  It also hosts the annual National competitions, the biggest competition event in the world.

The course is designed to be taken over 4 months, on a residential basis, but there is a possibility to continue after this time or, in the future, on a module by module basis.

The DZ has 5 turbine aircraft on call at any time. These aircraft fly to 15,000ft on each and every lift, giving a minute + in freefall.

Skydive Hibaldstow has a sister DZ in Spain ( which is owned and operated by the same company. This gives us the unique opportunity to move to where the weather is.

The course is overseen by a highly experienced Instructor with over 6000 jumps and has an in depth knowledge of the skydiving industry.  He is more than ably assisted by very experienced and qualified instructors and coaches, who are the best in developing your freefall skills.

Course Overview

Unlike some other courses, our key aim is simple – produce quality skydivers.

We will take you from 0-200 jumps and at the end you will be a fully qualified skydiver.

During the course you will be working under the auspices of the British Parachute Association (BPA) a world known body.  The course director is authorised to issue the appropriate licenses and performance certificates.

The course breaks down as follows:

  • Accelerated Free Fall course – approx. 20 jumps
  • Formation Skydiving module – approx. 60 jumps
  • Free Flying module – approx. 60 jumps
  • Camera Flying module – approx. 60 jumps

All these jumps and canopy control will be supervised, briefed and in many cases in-air coached.  This ensures that you can produce the quality an employer is looking for.

The aim is also for you to gain the following qualifications:

  • BPA “A” Licence
  • CH1 (Canopy Handling 1)
  • BPA “B” Licence</
